In case you missed the Sybase Developer Days road show...
They are doing a webinar on the new PowerBuilder.Net features on Wed, May 26th. The registration page says it's the 6th as I write this, but hopefully that will be corrected soon.

SAP buys Sybase...
Seems they were after their database and mobility components. Not sure what this means for the rest of the company (e.g., tools).

Flex on the iPhone
What do the following 3 images have in common (beside being butt-ugly, which is a result of my meager design skills)?

If you said they're from the same "Hello World" application, you'd be largely correct. The first is a Flash application generated from Flex Builder running in a web browser. The second is a somewhat modified version of the same application running as a native application on a Windows Mobile 6.1 device. The third is that same modified version running as a native application on an iPhone.

Sybase's 4 page ad in Visual Studio Magazine
My jaw dropped when I saw it. Great move, Sybase! It's been a long time since I've seen you spend any significant effort getting *new* customers for PowerBuilder.
Sybase ad
I scanned it at the highest possible resolution, so the file is rather large.

Schema Compare for Oracle
I worked with this product throughout the beta, and am quite happy with how well the last beta build worked. It’s $295 a seat. I’m actually stunned at how inexpensive it is given the price I’ve paid for similar tools in the past. Well worth looking at if you're responsible for promoting database objects/code in an Oracle environment.
