Swiss PowerBuilder User Group Meeting - May 15th, 2019

The Swiss PowerBuilder User Group is holding a meeting on May 15th in Zurich.  The following is their announcement for the event.  Non-members can attend, either by paying a one-time fee for the event, or by becoming a member of the group for year for a price that is less than the event registration fee.

Dear SPBUG member,

We are happy to invite you to a fully packed and probably the most interesting event since many years with excellent speakers and topics. With Appeon adding lots a new functionality to PowerBuilder every year, we are so fortunate to have several topics to choose from again.

The event will start out with Armeen Mazda giving us a heads-up on the enhancements in the next release of PowerBuilder. Feel free to prepare questions or suggestions to Armeen.

Many of you have asked to hear more about C# .NET development in PowerBuilder. Bruce Armstrong has made it possible to have this as the main topic of the day. Later in the day, Bruce will show us the new cool UI feature in PowerBuilder: UI Themes. We will see how we can modernize our application look, without making any significant code changes.

Again this time, our ‘own’ great speaker, Georg Brodbeck, will give us another one of his

Elevate 2018 presentations: Performance-Optimizing concerning huge amounts of data. 

Last topic this day will be Garfield Allen demo his PowerBuilder front-end for SAP – an excellent choice for reporting SAP data in your PowerBuilder application.

To close the day, there will be a prize draw (we hope to find something interesting for you) for all participants, who have stayed until the end of the meeting and have filled in the evaluation form.

Please register (name, address, company and email address) at the SPBUG registration web page http://www.spbug.ch no later than Wednesday May 8^th.  

There is no meeting fee for SPBUG members. The meeting fee for non-members is 150 SFr, payable in advance, or you can pay the yearly membership fee of 100 SFr. to become a personal member of the user group.
