Help convince SAP to take some positive action with regard toPowerBuilder

I've created a petition on causes.com for SAP to take some positive action with regard to PowerBuilder. I'ld like to invite you to sign that petition.

An important note: you do NOT need to have a Facebook account to sign the petition. You do have to create an account with them though. Here's how to do that without using a Facebook account.

1. Select the Sign In link at the top of their page.

Thank you Bruce for ringing the alarm bell - SAP & Sybase Powerbuilder customers deserve better for their years of loyalty to a product; that currently seems to be whithering on the vine.

I was actually wondering if an open source project might be able to replicate and extend Powerbuilder - in the way Harbour has done for Clipper - but the scope of the exercise seems daunting - where is the Bakus Naur diagrams for Powerscript & the datawindow syntax documented for example and how many people would be up for the years required to make it happen?

A number of people have it working. That's why I show the steps. This from Armeen in a Linked In post.

Just FYI, you don't need to have a Facebook account. Just go to this link to signup for a Causes.com account: https://www.causes.com/signup
Type your name, an email address, and create a password. Please ignore the Facebook button at the top (don't click on it).

no joking! I hope no one really thinks of abandoning PowerBuilder to a sad fate. My colleagues and I have invested 15 years of our work with PB. If SAP will not want to manage, help us to understand how to fund and manage a project for the protection of POWERBULDER for the coming years. I've got to protect my clients and my investments. And then let's face it: Powerbuilder is a wonderful development language, has no equal.

If it won't get them in trouble with their respective employers maybe you can reach out to the folks that use to work with PB but no longer have anything to do with it. Some heavy hitters like Dave Fish, Paul Horan, Reed Shilts, Jim O'Neil to name a few. Their names may carry some weight in certain circles.

I have signed up for causes but I have no hope. A great product that is going down the drain. I don't take up any PB assignments now, feel sad !

Powerbuilder is my first choice development solution. However, until release 15 i won't invest in developing New applicaties With it. If there Will be no release first quarter 2014, then Powerbuilder shall be abandon by us for future use.

I love working with Powerbuilder. Trying to learn VB .Net so much harder to get things done. So sad to watch what is happening to it! Would love to see that change.

As of today Powerbuilder is the programming language that I've been using in developing software applications in the company that I've been working. The system that I developed is purely made using PB. Support on this is really needed since this still exists and been used. Hoping for this to acted upon.
