PowerBuilder 12.2 is on the way

Dave Fish discussed it during the PowerBuilder.TV session today covering the 12.1 maintenance release.  He indicated that 12.2 will be released in late December and that he'll be doing another webcast in December for that maintenance release.  He did indicate the enhancements planned for 12.2 include:

Enhancements for .Net assembly targets

  • .Net assembly language enhancements

  • Support .Net events

  • Support custom attributes

  • Support XML documentation comments

PBL Deployment Options

  • Developers will be able to specify the output assembly for each PBL in the project painter.

Also, he noted that the ability to open windows (dialogs) from a .Net assembly target will be supported in the 12.5 release.
